Today President Mauricio Macri will present on the subject of climate change, during a meeting he will have with young people in the residence of Olivos. The representative will be accompanied by the Secretary of Environment and Development, Sergio Bergman. The Head of State convened a group of young people to set out government actions to help mitigate and reverse the effects of climate change. Macri will exhibit on the environmental impact following the publication of Decree 591/19 on hazardous waste from which Argentina could start importing garbage by relaxing the agreed environmental requirements.
The event takes place within the framework of the global climate mobilizations convened for this 20 September and next Friday, in addition to the activities of the midday that will coincide with the celebration in New York of the Summit convened by the UN at the Macri will exhibit on Tuesday 24th. Today’s marches are on track to become the biggest in history, and the international climate change movement Fridays for Future already has a list of more than 5,225 events in 156 countries that will take place from 20 to 27 September.
