“The government of Sebastian Piñera has brought the army and militarized police to the street, imposing a curfew, restricting the right to demonstrate, meet and free citizen transit,” was part of the message written by c Antante.
“People from all over the world, there is a democracy in crisis in Chile. People took to the streets to demonstrate in response to more than 30 years of abuses through the rise and privatization of basic services and rights,” said Anita Tijoux, a message she wrote on her Instagram account, referring to the crisis she is going through country. “The government of Sebastian Piñera has brought the military army and militarized police to the street, imposing a curfew, restricting the right to demonstrate, meet and free citizen transit. Mass media criminalize salutes demonstrations. Today it is the people of Chile on the street clamoring for social justice, complete families tired of abuse,” he continued. He also called on the world community “to speak out in solidarity with Chile and the total rejection of these violent measures by the government, which deprives us of our basic human rights,” he concluded.
