Florida– A Florida beggar has been accused of threatening to hit a woman who wouldn’t give her $1 dollar when she asked for it, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. that is, when a spectator allegedly complained to police that Leff had threatened to hit a woman who refused to give him $1. The agents who responded to the scene saw and heard Leff shout obscenities at someone inside a car who stopped at the red light where he had set up the store, according to the Bradenton Herald.While they were taking her to the Manatee County Jail, the agents told the store that Leff “was extremely aggressive and verbally abusive.”
Police arrested her on charges of prowling and engaging in conduct involving a threat of injury. Leff was previously arrested twice for misuse of the 911 system, according to the Miami Herald.In December 2018, officers spoke to Leff after receiving complaints of his mistreatment in the area. The store said that when they arrived, Leff allegedly yelled and told the officer he was going to call 911 and subsequently arrested her on the misuse charge of the 911 system. Just 10 minutes later, Leff managed to call the police again from the back of the patrol , accusing her of the same crime, according to the Miami Herald.

The media reported that Leff was arrested twice between November 2017 and January 2018 on charges of intrusion, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct, as well as another charge of begging. A new ordinance was recently passed in Manatee County that makes it illegal for beggars or pedestrians to remain on the median “very busy” roads after a protest of violence by homeless people in the area, according to the Bradenton Herald.
