Mexico City.- Deputies of Brunette have expressed their condolences to family and friends of the Sinaian legislator Maximiliano Ruiz Arias, for his recent loss to cancer. Rumors spread throughout Monday about the lawmaker’s possible passing, but all of them were soon denied. However, around 6:30 p.m. (local time) the Chamber of Deputies confirmed the news via a Twitter message.
The Chamber of Deputies regrets the sensitive death of fellow MP Maximiliano Ruiz Arias, President of the Committee on Fisheries,» they wrote on the social network.
Ruiz Arias was deputy for the first district of Mazatlan, Sinaloa, and chairman of the committee of fisheries. He had a long political career and went on to work in the secretary of Human Settlements and Public Works (1978-1983); he was a federal liaison for the Morena electoral district in the city from where he originated from 2015 to 2017.In the time he was elected as an mp elected by relative mayian, he went on to present 23 initiatives, of which 10 were pending; one was rejected; and 12 more were approved.
