Culiacan, Sinaloa.- Aiming to fulfill Joseph Sarabia’s dream of being a doctor when he grows up, his family is in the unstoppable struggle to get resources and get him to heal from the cancer he suffers from. Yesterday, to raise funds, a large kermés was held in Las Riberas park. Yanira Sarabia, the child’s mother, commented that for health reasons Joseph did not attend the event, but was very excited to know all the support that citizens are giving him with good heart.
Mexican antojitos such as, nachos, chimichangas, esquites, fresh waters, tacos de guisos, ceviche, menudo, tamales, crazy potatoes, among many others, could enjoy the attendees. Yanira was very grateful to all the people who have made it possible for them to see closer and closer the goal of getting the resource to perform the bone marrow transplant that the child requires. They have already gathered 250 thousand pesos of the million pesos they need to bring the donor from Israel. “Let’s not think about giving money, let’s think about the child, we’re going to help save the life of a child, a child who has dreams, among them is to be a doctor and save lives.” She expressed that this battle has been in the way for eight years, but they will continue to fight it until they won it. The Culiacan Zoo also joined the cause and gave a workshop to the young people and presented some animals. With great joy yesterday also the alley from Paseo del Angel to Las Riberas park was also carried out. In addition to these events, today the big concert will be held with different local artists, but the big star is Lupillo Rivera, who, seeing one of Joseph’s interviews where he says he wants to save himself and fulfill his dream of being a doctor, decided to join in to help get resources for the operation.
