CDMX.- Two investigation police officers were seriously injured after being attacked by criminals on the side of the Olympic Pool facilities in General Colony Anaya.The attack occurred around 22:30 a.m. on Wednesday side of Churubusco almost corner with Riff Street, in the Mayor of Benito Juárez.
Early reports indicate that the plainclothes officers were assaulted by criminals traveling on a motorcycle and a car. The assailants went straight to shoot 25-year-old David cops with shots in the legs and abdomen and John 38, with injuries to a testicle. The injured were treated by Civil Protection ambulances and rushed to a nearby hospital where they were reported as serious. Minutes later, police detected a vehicle at the scene of a suspect in the attack who was arrested and transferred to a ministerial agency under a security operation.
Authorities are investigating the motive of the aggression, while experts and ministerial staff were on the spot to conduct errands on the case.
