Ginés González García, Minister of Health of the Nation, referred to the cabinet meeting because of the situation of the coronavirus in Argentina: “The measure that had the most consensus was linked to the non-closure of educational establishments. We all believe that not only is it a considerable social impact but it has no potential for health care.” Kids aren’t a vulnerable group, but it’s also true that when kids don’t go to school, they have to stay out of school. And that means that adults who are what care for them are often used, thereby increasing the risk to adults.”
“It could even be counterproductive in this stage.”
“Of course this is for establishments that have not had any suspicious or confirmed cases. Otherwise, the strategy is absolutely one point of not continuing with the classes.”
For his part, Transport Minister Mario Meoni referred to the restrictions on flights from the affected areas: “We restricted those operations from Tuesday the 17th. From that day, Aerolíneas Argentinas will have the exclusivity of transport of those tourists who are in Argentina and want to return to their respective countries and from the Argentinians who are abroad and intend to return”. The Ministry of Health also promotes “changes in our daily habits” and “strongly encourages social estrangement such as cheek kissing, hand salutes or diminishing the socialization of matte and takes two meters away.” In this note:
