Following a call initiated by Fabiola Yáñez, First Lady and Honorary President of the Banco de la Nación Argentina Foundation, on Sunday (April 5) a solidarity program “United by Argentina” will be held that will be broadcast by all the air canlas of our television. It will be between 18 and 23 and the goal is to respond to this pandemic: to help the sectors most in need in the middle of the coronavirus. The Red Cross, one of the country’s leading health institutions, will be the vehicle for channeling donations on Sunday. In the study of the production company La Corte will converge pairs of drivers from each channel: Alejandro Fantino and Guillermo Andino por América; Angela Lerena and Sergio Goycochea on Public TV; Diego Ramos and Mariano Peluffo on Net TV; Maju Lozano and Leo Montero for elnueve; Vero Lozano y Marley by Telefe; and Mariana Fabbiani and Guido Kaczka will do it for Eltrece.

Diego Tipping, a physician who since 2015 chairs the Argentine Red Cross considered that to face the coronavirus pandemic “it takes solidarity, sensitivity and collective responsibility to achieve the necessary inputs”. Tipping argued that the Argentine Red Cross “will be a meeting point for all donations, to coordinate needs and to deliver them at destination in a task that includes the acquisition of inputs and to guarantee the arrival of them in Argentina”. To achieve this task, the organization will have an endowment of some 25,000 volunteers to whom around 65,000 students will be added “all trained to work with at-risk populations and with international training to function as an auxiliary of the public authorities”.
In addition to this activity motivated by the coronavirus, who directs the Argentine Red Cross clarified that “we are watering 5 million liters of water for the wichis and also fighting dengue”. United by Argentina invites the public to collaborate from their homes through the website www.cruzroja.org.ar/dona or by calling 0810-999-2222, and from the cell phone to *9009 or sending an SMS with the word DONAR to the 3000.Finally the program will have great musicals by outstanding artists at national and international level that will add their solidarity contribution to a transmission that will be historical.
