Xalapa, Veracruz.- A strong hailstone surprised the inhabitants of the city of Xapala, in Veracruz, this good Friday. For the second day in a row, heavy rains were recorded in the state capital accompanied by hail, causing several avenues to flood.
According to local media reports, a large amount of land and stones were dragged to Enríquez Avenue on the newly enabled Revolution Street.
In the units rooms Colinas de El Lago remained a thick layer of hail on the pavement, as seen in images shared through social networks.
Transit of Veracruz activated The Operation Carousel on the main avenues of the city of Xalapa due to the intense hailstorm, so they urged motorists to take precautions, keep their distance, turn on the lights and respect speed limits.
According to the Center for Meteorological Studies and Forecasts of the Secretary of Civil Protection of the State of Veracruz, it is predicted that a very warm atmosphere is expected at the weekend and some historical records are likely to be surpassed on Sunday for an April.
