Guadalajara, Jalisco.- The curve of the coronavirus epidemic will be declining in Guadalajara in late August or in early September, considered Hugo López-Gatell, undersecretary of prevention and health promotion. “At the time the cities also large as Guadalajara or as Monterrey are going to have a late epidemic curve, we think that the mobility restriction that occurred a little before the start to the National Day of Healthy Distance was useful, but as the days go on they already begin to have their epidemic curves that are now going to be prolonged,” López-Gatell said.
According to the official, Jalisco still has two months left to get rid of the disease.
“Possibly now in the case of Guadalajara we would have near the end of August or early September the exhaustion of that epidemic curve and for its part in Monterrey would be running out almost in the third week of October,” he said.
It further indicated that in the absence of a synchronous epidemic throughout the Republic, then there would be the possibility that covid-19 cases would be combined with those of other diseases.
“What’s going to happen? that this can be combined with the onset of flu season, influenza is a respiratory disease caused by another type of virus, but that has a behavior similar to Covid-19, in its mode of transmission that causes fever, cough, sore throat, body pain, among others.
