Angostura, Sinaloa.- After approximately three months, the process of renewal of the Administrative Council has been halted following the contingency, Angostura Irrigation Module 74-1 receives the green light from the relevant authorities to reactivate the election of the new president of the agricultural body. Wilfrido Bejarano Lerma, the current leader of the module, explains that the votes must have been held last April but were not possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic, even ordered the suspension of candidates’ campaigns to protect both their health and that of users.

Bejarano Lerma details that currently thanks to God the conditions are different and that is why they are already authorized to reactivate the change of leaders in the module, of course, complying at all times with the health indications of prevention that they were pointed out to them.” According to the statutes, the election of the new Administrative Council should have taken place on 26 April but it was not possible to do what we all know but today we are back, reviving the change because at a meeting I held with the relevant authorities I was given permission to do so. So the next day 26 will be the election but all those who come to vote will have to carry their mouth cover mandatory, if they do not wear will not vote, and will be placed antibacterial gel in their hands, in addition there will be a representative of the module in each box organizing everything and that users respect the healthy distance. We appreciate the strong support provided by the alcadesa de Angostura, Aglaeé Montoya Martínez, also by Carlo Mario Ortiz Sánchez, president of Salvador Alvarado, by the leaders of Conagua, Caepris and the Health Sector for all the attentions provided and the support that are giving us to carry out this election, because we have a written authorization to take the process forward so that we are already preparing for the installation of 21 boxes , which will be distributed in each ejido in order to prevent large user agglomerations and reduce the risk of contagion. The election will start at 09:00 hours and will be completed at 5 p.m. I don’t really know how many are going to vote, but in the right place we show up more than 2 thousand and hopefully everything works out,” explains Wilfrido Bejarano Lerma.
