Academic John Ackerman caused social media controversy for his comments on behalf of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), whom he called a scientist prepared to deal with the health emergency by coronavirus.
During the program he shares with Sabina Berman on Canal Eleven, Ackerman said that the Situation of the Covid-19 has remained under control is thanks to AMLO’s plans, as he dictated instructions to the Ministry of Health.
“AMLO is the scientist, of course yes, to see the secretary and the undersecretary of health are following instructions from the President of the Republic. For his position he is a scientist,” insisted the researcher by UNAM.
Sabina Berman herself, with bewildered gestures, asked her partner several times if she was serious, because for her the subject had been very well carried by the Under-Secretary for Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatell.
