Morelos.- During the night of Saturday the 18th and early morning of Sunday the 19th, the fire department of Cuernavaca, fought a heavy fire that originated in one of the factories within the Industrial City of Calle de Cuernavaca (CIVAC), in Morelos.It was at the edge of midnight that the report was given to the authorities on the fire at the Industrias Lavin factory, located on Calle 9 east of CIVAC, municipality of Jiutepec.

To the place arrived elements of FIREs of CIVAC, Civil Protection Jiutepec, Cuernavaca; Elements of the Morelos Police as well as emergency services from other municipalities to support fire control. The Morelos State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPCM) reported that the fire originated in a cosmetics production factory.

For more than 3 hours, elements of the Red Cross, PC and Firefighters from Cuernavaca, Jiutepec, Yautepec and Cuernavaca worked in the area, as well as staff from the Red Cross Morelos Delegation, CIVAC Emergency Control Center (CCEC) and the Mutual Assistance Plan Group (PAM).
Neighbors were evacuated from the site, however, at 3:19 a.m., Protección Civil de Morelos reported that the fire was under control, so the population was asked to remain calm and avoid the dissemination of information without official sustenance. So far it is unknown what caused the fire, however the authorities are already investigating the accident. No human loss or injury was reported.
