Global CASES of COVID-19 have surpassed 39 million this Saturday (17.10.2020), adding up one million more than just four days ago. In addition to the continued spread of coronavirus, detection capacity has multiplied worldwide, making them positive that previously went unnoticed.
In the last 24 hours, an additional 234,058 cases were reported, according to statistics released by the World Health Organization (WHO). Daily deaths were 4,489, with the total deaths of COVID-19 totaling 1.099 million.

India is the second largest pandemic, with more than 62,200 cases in 24 hours.
With 30,000 cases per day, France has become the third country with the largest increase in daily cases, forcing drastic measures, such as the imposition of a curfew in Paris and other major cities.
Eastern European countries have entered the state section for the first time in nine months with the highest number of daily cases: the Czech Republic with more than 9,700 cases, and Poland, with more than 8,000 in a single day.
