With 3,893 cases, 2019 was the most violent year for women in at least 30 years, according to definitive figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi).

In terms of homicides of men, 32 thousand 530 (88.7%), Inegi reported only 235 fewer murders than in 2018, the year in which the highest number of cases was recorded, since 1990.
