Morelia, Michoacán.- From December 13 to 24, piñata artisans from the Allende shopping square will sell their products and offer promotions for parties and inns on the occasion of the Festival de la Piñata de Morelia, which for the first time will be virtual due to the health contingency in force by the covid-19.
At a press conference, Roberto Monroy García, Secretary of Tourism of Morelia, commented that with this scheme the population will be able to acquire and know the catalog of piñatas made by members of 40 families who for decades have made this craftsmanship used in all kinds of events.
The platform where the list of piñatas will be available is on the official website of the Ministry of Economic Development of Morelia and there will be the option to find the information of the artisan workshops, prices and models using QR technology.
He emphasized that the merchants of The Plaza Allende are a very united guild and this is why they have promoted this powerful fair that benefits their families and customers who access to buy good quality local products from home.
For people who wish to go to The Plaza Allende to collect their piñatas, the schedule will be from 9:00 to 20:00 hours and to enter the site they must go through a health filter and carry water covers.
