24 entities in the country will end the year with the high risk level of COVID-19, the orange color, of the epidemiological traffic light announced by health authorities.
In addition to Mexico City and the State of Mexico, whose authorities announced the entry of the red light, Baja California is the third state to report maximum risk.
Sinaloa, Tamaulipas and Veracruz, who increased the level of risk, are at medium risk (yellow), while only Chiapas and Campeche retain the green color by keeping the level low.

Among the 24 orange entities, six of them are on the alert of increasing their level of risk and returning to red: Zacatecas, Sonora, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Aguascalientes and Hidalgo.
The traffic light will be in force from this 21 December until at least 3 January, according to health authorities.
