translated from Spanish: Valdivia tourism ventures receive $30 million financial support

The contest “Together for Valdiviano Entrepreneurship” premied six small and medium-sized companies in the tourist and gastronomic field of this city, each of which received a contribution equivalent to five million pesos to help them deal with the economic crisis they are experiencing, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The donation was made by Cervecería Kunstmann, with the support of the Universidad Austral de Chile and the Skala Chile platform.
Each of the SMEs went through a process of application and evaluation, in which the degree of affectation suffered by the health emergency, the impact of the benefit on the operation of this and the contribution to the tourist and gastronomic offer of Valdivia was measured. Each received cash for $4,100,000 to allocate them to what they deem appropriate, plus personalized strategy coaching for 6 months.
This initiative is part of the anniversary of valdivia’s great earthquake and tsunami, which was conmemored on May 22, when Kunstmann launched a beer labeled “1960”, the proceeds of which were donated for this project as a way to highlight the resilience of the Valdivian people in this historical event, and to make an analogy with the current pandemic situation.
