The City of Buenos Aires inaugurated in Costa Salguero a new vehicular center of attention so that tourists and residents of optional testing to detect the coronavirus and that in this way those who enter the district know their health status. The head of government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, implored on his Twitter: “If you spent Christmas or are going to spend New Year’s day more than 150 km from the City and for more than 4 days, it is important that you take a shift in advance so that when you return you will get tested at any of the testing centers.” In addition, as the city government made known, thanks to the opening of this new center it will “double the capacity to test during the summer” to strengthen and “strengthen the operation during peak dates, especially in the festivities and replacement of fortnight”.

The test is required by CABA authorities for those over 12 who have been out of town for four days and who have travelled more than 150 kilometres. It is also required for tourists to arrive from more than 150 kilometers away and stay at least one day. The site will be open until January 6 from 7 to 21 and later, will return to work for fortnight changes, between January 15 and 20 and from January 30 to February 5.
They recommend that for the test it is preferable not to have ingested food or drinks (water only) in the last three hours, or even to brush your teeth. The tests are covered by social works and health insurance or by the City Government and will only cost residents of other countries. The results are known between 12 and 24 hours after performing the test by sending “Test Result” to the WhatsApp of the City (+54 9 11) 50500147.
