The defence of the woman assaulted by Meps Aracely Leuquén (RN) at the Irish Geopub compound (located in Las Condes) in December 2019 rejected the agreement proposed by the representatives of the parliamentarian: public apologies and compensation of $2 million pesos.
The private action procedure hearing, held before the Fourth Warranty Court of Santiago, took place in the context of the complaint brought by the supervisor of the pub, verbally and physically assaulted by the lawmaker RN. In the middle of business hours, Leuquén drank four pisco sour, ending up in a drunken state.
For lawyer Gonzalo Bulnes (representative of the supervisor), the financial compensation proposed by the three lawyers of the parliamentarian would represent the “thousandth” of what the victim has disbursed throughout the judicial process, radio Bío Bío collects.
The victim turned down the offer and the hearing was adjourned until April 22.
In addition, Bulnes will ask for the inability of the judge, considering that he advanced his favourable opinion.
Let us remember that Deputy Leuquén was disahorrated by the aggression, a sanction that was upheld by the Supreme Court.
