Morelia, Michoacán.- The Intermunicipal Brigade continues to work with preventive actions in priority areas of Morelia to prevent rains from causing major damage, especially in the area of flooding and parting as a result of the garbage accumulated on public roads, reported in a statement.
This Friday, workers from Parks and Gardens, Solid Waste, Sedruma and OOAPAS, carried out the cleaning of the Arroyo Blanco drain, in a 200-meter stretch and in which about 60 tons of waste was removed.
Supported by 4 dump trucks, trimmers, rakes, shovels and rake, 20 municipal employees maintained this area of the city where a considerable amount of weed grows that could plug hydraulic systems and complicate the passage of water at the time of precipitation.
In this sense, citizens have to participate in preventive tasks at the start of the rainy season, avoiding throwing garbage into the street, as it is swept away by the current and causes bodies of water to overflow because the sewers and drains are collapsed by garbage.
