Mexico. – The Chamber of Deputies passed the Olympia Act, digital violence is now typified in the Federal Criminal Code, the crime of violation of sexual privacy, by disclosing, sharing, distributing or publishing images, videos or audios with sexual content through technological means, of a person without permission.
The opinion of the United Commissions on Gender Equality, and Justice, was added various provisions to the General Law on Women’s Access to a Life Free of Violence and the Federal Criminal Code, which was adopted with 445 votes in favour, one against the independent Deputy Ana Lucía Riojas, who argued about the creation of more crimes and their punishments do not diminish this type of behavior.
