“Approaching cinema” presents in an online and free film cycle the documentary “El Negro”, the story and exclusive interview of the bully Ricardo Palma Salamanca, convicted of the murder of Senator Jaime Guzmán. The cycle includes a conversation with its director, Sergio Castro.
For a month and until stocks of free but limited tickets are sold out, the program “Approaching cinema” will be presenting the film. As well as the premiere of the short film, “Casimira” by Carolina Fuentealba, about an elderly woman with a friendly look who spends her days in the middle of various field chores. The cycle that due to the context of the Covid-19 pandemic has gone into a completely online format, can be enjoyed from its website.
The program that seeks the training of audiences for national cinema also includes special exhibitions for school audiences, which are accompanied by an educational material that favor the treatment of the contents of the same according to the school subjects.
It also offers teachers who participate in an educational sheet of the film, which serves as a guide to analyze and work with students in the classroom to film from different activities and proposals. These tokens are made by a specialist in film and education, who also seeks to motivate and strengthen new audiences, in order to incorporate the habit of appreciating, knowing and understanding Chilean cinema.
