United States. – A teacher and his student went viral on social media thanks to the teacher loaning his shoes to his student so that he could receive his diploma on the day of his graduation.
Arriving at the ceremony without the formal shoes, the academics told Daverius Peters that he could not be part of the celebration or receive his diploma, to which the young man told the story to John Butler, his teacher.
“I have nothing to do here, I’m not going to graduate,” Peters said to which Butler surprised asked why; “I don’t have ad-hoc shoes to the occasion, my shoes won’t let me graduate,” Daverius explained.

Without hesitation, the teacher at Hahnville High School in Louisiana went barefoot and handed over the garment so the young man could join the ceremony.
Once the diploma was given to Davis, John approached the principal of the institution and talked to her about the dress code.
He said that this situation could be repeated with many other young people and that clothing should not be a reason to discriminate against someone.
