With regard to the first point, it concerns the extension of the validity of Decree no. 334/21 of the National Executive, which established strict sanitary measures for areas of high risk and epidemiological and sanitary alarm. On the other hand, the official said that 9 of 15 samples sent to the Malbrán Institute were “positive for the P1 Manaus variant,” which indicates that its circulation is community-based. These “correspond to samples taken in the cities of Palo Santo, Laguna Blanca, Gral. Güemes, Ibarreta, Estanislao del Campo, Los Chiriguanos and Eng. Juárez.”
González added that “to these must be added the cities in which these variants have already been detected previously, that is, Formosa capital, Clorinda, El Colorado, Pirané, Misión Laishí, Riacho He He and Villa Escolar.” These data are indicative of community viral circulation of this P1 Manaus strain in the province of Formosa, which is related to the exponential increase in Covid-19 cases recorded in the last month,” he added.
