Eduardo Guillermo Pantano, popularly known as Willy Crook, died today at the age of 55. The news was reported by his press agent Paula Alberti. The musician had suffered a stroke on June 8, for which he had been induced into a pharmacological coma from which he had no recovery.

Until before the ACV, Willy was in full activity with his band Funky Torinos, with whom two years ago he released the album Lotophagy.En his artistic career he stood out and collaborated with national artists such as Charly García, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Pachuco Cadáver, Sumo, Los Gardelitos, Riff, Comida China, Los Encargados, Los Mimilocos, Andrés Calamaro, Jorge Pinchevsky and international artists such as Rita Marley, Los Toreros Muertos, El Bajista Miguel Gandulfo and the tremendous Gotan Project, Alvin Lee, Echo & The Bunnymen and Dermis Tatú.Con su saxo was a fundamental piece in Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota. He was also the opening act for James Brown and David Bowie on their visits to Buenos Aires.From 1997 he formed his own band: Los Funky Torinos, whose first album, Willy Crook & the Funky Torinos, featured artists such as Miguel Zavaleta, Daniel Melingo and Fernando Samalea.¡Hasta siempre Willy!
