Pátzcuaro, Michoacán.- The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Michoacán (FGE) obtained from a Trial Court a conviction of 25 years in prison and payment for reparation of the damage, against Jaime Luis “N”, by proving his responsibility in the crime of Rape; acts committed to the detriment of his minor niece, in a locality of the municipality of Pátzcuaro.
According to records, on April 25, 2017, the sentenced man sexually assaulted the victim and threatened to harm his siblings if he told what happened. Also, at the beginning of May of the same year, Jaime Luis “N” violently entered the room where the minor was, and after hitting her in the face, he again perpetrated the crime.

For these facts, the Sexual Crimes Unit of the Special Prosecutor’s Office for the Attention to Crimes of Family and Gender Violence initiated an Investigation Folder, while the Litigation Directorate carried out the actions that allowed to establish the possible relationship of the now sentenced in the fact, for which he was arrested and presented before the judicial body , which linked it to process.
After venting each of the evidence, the Trial Court decided to sentence Jaime Luis “N” to 25 years in prison, as well as payment for reparation of the damage, for his responsibility in the crime that the law designates as Rape.
