CorpArtes Foundation and Santiago International Film Festival (Sanfic) premieres films showing the lives of real women and girls, the courage and the difficulties they live. Some of the films belong to the National Talent Short Film Competition and others to the Educa family section. 
“Once again, we wanted to bring the best of international children’s cinema to the Educa section of our SANFIC festival, this because we know what it means to bring quality productions to a diverse audience that considers children and young people, together with their families. One of our objectives as a Foundation is and will always be to make the arts more accessible to all people, without distinction, to promote reflection, creativity and critical thinking around new topics, “said the executive director of Fundación CorpArtes, Francisca Florenzano. 
One of the outstanding productions is “Stories of a Girl”, (About a Girl) (Germany) by Mark Monheim, a feature film that portrays the life of Charleen, a girl of almost 16 years old, fan of Kurt Cobain, pessimistic and obsessed with death, which received the Young Audience Award of the Gijón International Film Festival and the Bavarian Award for Best Young Actress.
Another internationally awarded production that will be at the Santiago International Film Festival is “Las Niñas” (Spain), by Pilar Palomero, a feature film that won best film and best director at the last Goya Awards, exhibited at important festivals such as the Berlin International Film Festival and the San Sebastián Film Festival, about Celia, an 11-year-old girl who, together with a new partner, begins to discover that life is made of many truths and some lies.
Not only will there be international genre productions on the billboard, ‘I dreamed I lived’, by director Eymeraude Cordon Le Beurier, which tells the story of Alexandra (17), who upon returning to the lyceum does not want to face reality: neither the failure of a year of mobilization nor her early pregnancy,
Santiago 1992. A family made up only of women faces the crude story of Amanda, the 17-year-old girl, who decides to reveal a lurid testimony after the death of her father, is the description of the Chilean short film “The Edge of the Shadows”, with the participation of Magdalena Acuña Brücher, Micaela Quaroni Vildoso and María José Vélez Hörmann.
“Weona Loca” is another Chilean short film that can be seen through SANFIC, which tells the story of Camila, who dreams of being a leading activist and who along with her friends take the high school, facing the director of the establishment.
“Luz” is a 20-minute short film that tells the story of a retired popular singer-songwriter, who decides to protect a young immigrant victim of harassment. 
There will be 21 titles in total that make up this year’s program, which were selected among the 151 short films that nominated for the seventeenth edition of the festival that will again be held for all of Chile, in digital and free format, between August 15 and 22.
The short films of the competition have, among others, the participation of renowned national actors and actresses, such as Loreto Valenzuela, Alejandro Goic, Francisco Pérez Bannen, Gabriela Arancibia, Nathalia Aragonese, among others.
