Guasave, Sinaloa .- In view of the proximity of the Popular Consultation that will be held this August 1 in order to know if Mexicans agree that actions are carried out to clarify political decisions taken in the past, the president of Canacintra Guasave criticized that nearly 540 million pesos will be invested in a consultation that will obviously have a positive result. In addition, he stressed that the law already exists and if there is a crime, it must simply be applied. Jose Luis Orozco Luque, president of the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry, emphasized that as a Chamber they are in favor of the rule of law and that there is no reason to consult whether the law is applied or not.

“We as a Chamber and as a sector are in favor of the rule of law, the law is not consulted. If someone commits an offence that is tified in the law as such, one must exercise the power that both the Executive and the Judiciary have to exercise such an action, one does not have to consult, more so if it is against the resources of the nation and the people.”
Orozco Luque was clear in pointing out that the law must simply be complied with. “The people elected them and they swore to comply with and enforce the law, so let them do it just as simple as that.” The president of Canacintra indicated that it is illogical to invest nearly 540 million pesos in a consultation that will have an affirmative result. “About 540 million pesos, which may well be applied for so many things instead of spending it on this consultation that within the sound judgment of everyone I hardly think that someone is going to go and put a ‘no’. Everywhere we are in favor that if someone wronged against the finances of the people they should be punished,” he said, there are already budgets allocated to enforce the law. He stressed that such an investment could be made in combating pressing needs. “Why not skip that and save that money or apply it to something that is needed and urgent, such as medicines, such as supporting businesses in the pandemic and so many other things.”
