Mexico.- The doctor Álvaro Ramallo informed his patient that he had to operate on the emergency prostate and that the surgery would be free, so the man was extremely grateful and decided to give his doctor two chickens.
“Grandpa thanks doctor with two chickens for performing the free operation. A doctor from Tarija, Bolivia, accepted two chickens as ‘payment’ for a prostate operation to be performed on an elderly person with limited resources,” tvc journalist Orlin Martinez reported.
“He gave two chickens as a gift to give me the attention. This moved and touched me a lot,” the doctor said on Facebook on July 24.
He related that on a day like today, 11 years ago, his father died, which reminded him how 40 years ago, in Tarija there were patients who paid you with chickens and eggs or the famous barter.
