The secretary of state said that “the process of reopening educational establishments has progressed in a very positive way since we returned from the winter break.” As of yesterday, almost 9 thousand educational establishments – between kindergartens and schools – are with face-to-face activities. And that number continues to rise, because today new establishments were incorporated and, as of Monday, many more are also incorporated,” he said. Along these lines, Figueroa said that “we believe that, combining the health protocols, the best conditions of the pandemic that we have in Chile, and with a sense of urgency regarding how fundamental it is for the educational communities to meet again in the classrooms, this process is advancing in an appropriate way.”
