Federal health authorities announced that seven entities in the country returned to the red color (maximum risk) of the epidemiological traffic light for COVID, Mexico City, Guerrero, Nuevo Leon, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Colima and Jalisco.
However, the local authorities in the country’s capital remain at orange level.
“According to the indicators that were presented this morning, the Government of Mexico City remains in orange,” insisted the government of Claudia Sheinbaum.
The Epidemic Risk Traffic Light, which will apply from August 9 to 22, locates 15 entities in orange (high risk): Sonora, Baja California Sur, Durango, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, Michoacán, Querétaro, Hidalgo, Estado de México, Veracruz, Puebla, Tlaxcala, Oaxaca and Quintana Roo.
Ba California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Morelos, Tabasco, Campeche and Yucatan record yellow (medium risk).
Only Chiapas has a low risk, with a green color.
