translated from Spanish: A museum train will tour the province of Buenos Aires

The Itinerant Museum Train, a project carried out by Trenes Argentinos Human Capital, was inaugurated yesterday, in the city of Junín, as a tool of entertainment and knowledge for all ages. The route of the railway will be through different locations in the province of Buenos Aires and to be able to enter you must request an online shift. The formation is composed of nine wagons that constitute a representation of both the different cars used in the main historical trains of the country.

On the other hand, the integral restoration of the cars was carried out in the “Taller Junín Ministro Mario Meoni”, where cars that were destined to be transformed into thousands of tons of scrap metal were reused. In this way, its enhancement involved an investment that represents only 8% of what it would have cost to buy new cars. Among the most outstanding examples are the presidential wagon used by John Paul II, a Salon Bar car and a Cinema car; and the CT 1517 MATERFER, specifically adapted to exhibit part of the National Railway Museum, meaning an entertainment for young people and adults. The Itinerant Museum Train is currently in the city of Junín until August 16, and will move to the city of Chacabuco where it will be from August 20 to 22.

In addition, the citizens of Rawson will be able to attend the train on August 24 and subsequently it will be operating in the city of Mercedes from August 27 to 29. Finally, the project will move to the city of Pilar where it will be from September 3 to 5. Finally, the proposal is carried out by the National Government, through Trenes Argentinos Human Capital, chaired by Damián Contreras and dependent on the Ministry of Transport of the Nation. In addition, the railway has samples from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, the Mint and the Ministry of Production, Science and Technological Innovation of the province of Buenos Aires.
