Rincon crosses the road to Provoste: President of the Senate said that if the project of the fourth withdrawal “does not have corrections, it will not have my support”

As the days go by, several have been the senators of the New Social Pact who have been opening up to the possibility of voting in favor of a new withdrawal of 10 percent from the individual accounts of the AFP (despite having indicated being against it weeks ago), either by conviction, by electoral calculation or by pressure.
The reason that several wield under ropes would have to do with one that has crossed the entire discussion, that is, the proximity to the elections, that is, the electoral calculation, which ranges from personal benefit to the search for sustenance of the presidential card that represents them.
And although so far senators such as Guido Girardi (PPD) or Juan Pablo Letelier (PS), have given signals in favor of the viability of their candidate, there are others who have not yet opened, and who put pressure on a unique opportunity in a campaign that less than two months before the elections, has not yet seen the light, rather it remains stagnant, and clinging to this opportunity to try to install itself as the leader of the sector.
In this context, in an interview with El Mercurio, the President of the Senate, also DC, and whom Provoste ended up replacing as a presidential letter of her party, Ximena Rincón, crossed her on a path that seemed clear in the eyes of the command of the flag bearer.
Asked about the bill that establishes a new withdrawal of pension funds, the senator for El Maule said that “as it is dispatched in the House, the fourth withdrawal is not a good exercise.”
“I formulated indications in the first retreat to improve it with the retention of aliity pensions, a drama that I did not want to see, the possibility of reimbursement because people have to bet on saving for their old age, that measure was not accepted,” recalled Rincón.
Regarding the current discussion, in which the votes that the project would have in the Upper House are still unclear, the president of the Senate reiterated that “I do not like this measure and if it does not have corrections it will not have my support.”
Rincón had already shown herself as a detractor to intervene in pension funds, in August of this year, when as the new president of the Senate after the departure of Provoste to launch herself to the presidential election, she dissociated herself from the project and was emphatic that she did not believe that withdrawal from the AFP is the way, appealing to state aid.
Senator DC explained that among the indications of the current project are annuities, the payment of taxes, and the possibility of reimbursement with tax extension.
The legislator acknowledged that there is “an immense majority agrees with the fourth withdrawal and it does not surprise me, everyone wants to have money, they have a bad evaluation of the pension system.”
But he stressed that “if the fourth withdrawal does not have these modifications I will not support it. Despite everything we have done, the only justification is that there are sectors that have not received help.”
A knot that will not be easy to solve in the event that, unlike his peers, Rincon remains firm in his message.
This is because the conditions he puts on the table, are the same that his conglomerate and presidential letter cataloged as “fine print”, thus ignoring progressive taxes, or any of the indications that his rival, the candidate of Apruebo Dignidad, Gabriel Boric, had entered.
It should be noted that Yasna Provoste, like Gabriel Boric, had been opposed to the fourth withdrawal if certain conditions were met, which are currently in force.
Close to the former head of the Senate recognized the complex scenario in which the current president left her presidential letter after the interview on Sunday, and pointed out that during the week the formula will be studied to try to get out of this “hole”, all this, one day before the presidential debate.
