At the age of 92, the human rights lawyer, Fabiola Letelier del Solar, died as a result of a cerebrovascular disease, according to her family.
Born in Temuco, Fabiola Letelier studied law at the University of Chile and was part of the search for reparation and justice for hundreds of victims of human rights violations in the dictatorship. For that work, he received the National Human Rights Award in 2018.

Through a statement, her family highlighted her figure and said that “she will be remembered with love by her family, colleagues, comrades in struggle and by thousands of Chileans and people from other countries, who thank and celebrate her life of tireless search for justice and courageous struggle for the protection of the human rights of our peoples.”
“His sharp intelligence, his indomitable kind heart, his tenacity, his courage to the test in the face of horror and abuse, his plain and open treatment, will be remembered as a light of hope and as a stimulus to continue dreaming, working and fighting for a world in which the dignity of all, all, is a reality.” adds his family.
