According to the document, which was signed by students, former students and professors, in addition to the immediate removal of Romero Tellaeche, they ask that Alejandro Madrazo, as director of the CIDE Central Region, be reinstated in his positions immediately; as well as Catherine Andrews as Academic Secretary of the research center.

They also ask that a permanent student assembly be set up that has an impact on the internal administrative processes of CIDE and that it be recognized in the internal regulations as a mechanism and joint collaboration.

With banners, a pair of drums and megaphones, the students shout slogans such as “rebels wanted us, rebels will have us, in clear allusion to the removal of Andrews that, argued the acting director, was due to the fact that he committed “acts of rebellion” by not heeding the instructions he gave him.

They also shout other slogans such as: “I defend CIDE, do not politicize us”, “a dictator will not be a director”, “more science, less obedience” and “no more harassment of knowledge”.
Meanwhile, another group of students and teachers keep Insurgentes Avenue blocked heading north. Although private cars are not allowed to pass, students allow the passage of the Metrobus.
Until 11:50 a.m. no one from Conacyt had gone out to receive the petition.
In case their requests are not met, the students anticipated that they will carry out staggered actions in the two CIDE headquarters, including the taking of these.
