Kast will present his new government plan on Tuesday: “We want an efficient and austere small state”

The presidential candidate of the Christian Social Front, José Antonio Kast, visited Viña del Mar, a city from where he announced that on Tuesday he would present his final government plan. “We have been integrating the different political parties into the programmatic work, and tomorrow we want to present our government plan that contemplates and collects a large part of the proposals that the groups of the different presidential candidates have made, and tomorrow we want to make a summary of all the programs that work in harmony,” he said. Kast said that “we want an efficient and austere small state, we want to work towards lowering the tax burden, we want to highlight the work and protection of rights, especially in women’s rights, we want to work on environmental issues and on a wide range of issues that we have been addressing together.” Specifically, he indicated that they have implemented “important changes”, alluding to the controversial proposal to eliminate the Ministry of Women. “We made a mistake in saying that we were going to merge the Ministry of Women with another ministry, we have indicated that we are going to strengthen the Ministry of Women, but in the same line, to seek more rights and more protection for women, not only in judicial cases, but also in labor issues, social welfare with universal nurseries.”
