Boric’s future cabinet: political committee discusses formula to integrate the PS and social organizations

The political committee of President-elect Gabriel Boric, which is made up of his team and the representatives of Apruebo Dignidad, discussed yesterday the guidelines of the next cabinet, in a meeting in which Boric did not attend. In the instance, they addressed the formula to add other political forces to the new Government.
Specifically, they proposed that the Socialist Party (PS) join Boric’s cabinet. The community has already shown closeness to the standard-bearer of Apruebo Dignidad. Last Thursday, in fact, the helmsman PS Álvaro Elizalde arrived at “La Moneda chica” -located at the Institute of International Studies of the University of Chile, in Providencia- quoted by Boric himself.
On the rest of the parties of the former Concertation, at the meeting of boric’s political committee they proposed that they enter other positions within the Government.
The formula they addressed was one of “concentric circles.” I approve Dignity would be the axis of the new Government, while other collectivities would remain in “circles” different from that of the coalition.
The meeting was attended by Giorgio Jackson (RD), Izkia Siches, Guillermo Teillier (PC), Margarita Portuguez (RD), Ka Quiroz (Comunes), Francisca Perales (Social Convergence), Marcelo Díaz (Unir), Efrén Osorio (Acción Humanista) and Flavia Torrealba (FRVS), slogan La Tercera.
From Apruebo Dignidad they also pointed out that the cabinet model should include the social organizations that joined Boric’s presidential campaign, such as Ukamau, College of Teachers, No + AFP, Modatima, among others.
