More than 11,000 homes in the city of Buenos Aires and different localities of Greater Buenos Aires continue this Sunday without electricity supply, according to the National Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE).
At 9.30 a.m., Edesur users without service were 11,455 and those of Edenor 180. According to the information provided by the companies, the situation would normalize between 11 and 12 noon. Edesur’s cuts due to interruptions in the medium voltage service were recorded in Mataderos (2,298 customers), Liniers (1393), Caballito (1,318), Temperley (1,174), Gerli (1,111), Barrio La Unión, in Ezeiza, (1,056), Villa del Parque (914), Ingeniero Budge (478), Transradio and Lomas de Zamora (529), in addition to other interruptions due to low voltage. During the first day of 2022, more than 140,000 people were registered without electricity (66,089 from Edesur and 74,354 from Edenor). Anyway, since yesterday afternoon the cuts were decreasing and companies are working to normalize the service in the coming hours. On the other hand, the records of the ENRE detail that in New Year some 41,223 users of Edenor did not have light and that 107,134 of Edesur the same thing happened.
