Concanaco asks businesses to continue with sanitary measures

Mexico City.- Faced with the growing wave of infections that is developing in Mexico, the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco ServyTur), asked the different commercial sectors to maintain sanitary measures so that new closures or restrictions are not generated. Concanaco recalled that, almost two years after the pandemic, Mexico has registered 3 million 979 thousand 723 accumulated casis and 299 thousand 428 deaths due to the Covid-19 disease and at the moment, Mexico City, State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato and Jalisco are the states with the highest number of cases. For this reason, the president of Concanaco, Héctor Tejeda Shaar asked to continue with the sanitary measures in all commercial establishments, such as the use of masks, in order to stop the spread of Covid-19.” We cannot lower our guard, as merchants, but also as consumers we must comply with all the safety and hygiene measures with which we protect the health of Mexicans, without harming the economic reactivation,” he said. The leader asked consumers to go to the formal store to schedule their purchases in advance -especially now, coinciding with Los Reyes Magos-, since it is the only one that guarantees an adequate implementation of safety and hygiene measures, in favor of customers and employees themselves.
