Carmen Frei highlights Boric’s maturity but reiterates that the DC does not seek to be in the cabinet

The president of the Christian Democracy (DC), Carmen Frei, arrived at “La Moneda Chica” to hold a meeting with the President-elect, Gabriel Boric.
When asked about the details of the meeting, the DC helmswoman emphasized that “we have not come with a list of positions or with conditions, we want profound transformations.”
In addition, he said that I raise with the future President “the need to be very firm and have very concrete decisions in the face of crime and drug trafficking, which is a problem that our population is experiencing day by day.”
The Falangist leader described the meeting with the Magellanic deputy as “fraternal” and “affectionate”. In turn, he congratulated Boric for the maturity he has shown with the call to generate agreements with all the parties that want to be present in the transformations he proposes.
“We have reiterated our willingness to be present in all those transformations that this new reality of our country really needs,” he added.
Finally, Frei indicated that “we have shared his government program. Our technicians have also worked with those in their command on the proposals, which are very similar to those we proposed with Yasna Provoste.”
During her visit, the president gave Gabriel Boric “The Humanist Message” -a book written by his father, Eduardo Frei Montalva-, chocolates and a toy for the deputy’s dog, Brownie.
In addition, he invited him to the 40th anniversary of the death of former President Eduardo Frei Montalva.
