Sedema closes windows for vehicle verification procedures

In order to avoid COVID-19 infections, the citizen attention area of vehicle verification closed to the public until further notice, reported the Secretariat of the Environment (Sedema) of Mexico City.
In a statement, the agency explained that motorists will be able to process the provisional certificate to circulate to prevent the spread of COVID infections, free of charge in the league https://verificentros.sedema.cdmx.gob.mx/constancias
Vehicles that carry this certificate may circulate without having a certificate and / or hologram of current vehicle verification, respecting the Hoy No Circula program, according to the last hologram obtained.

The certificate will be valid until January 31, 2022 and may be renewed; it must be printed and placed in a visible place inside the vehicle.
The procedures contemplated by this certificate are the replacement of the proof of vehicle verification (hologram and / or constancy) and the request for extension to the verification period for theft, accident, major repair or cases not contemplated.

“This does not exempt the owner or legal owner of the vehicle from carrying out the necessary administrative procedures before the citizen attention area of vehicle verification when they restart operations,” the agency said.
The Sedema affirmed that the vehicle verification centers operate normally, so the verification can be carried out according to the established verification schedule.
