They confirm 20,872 new COVID cases; 76.5 million have been vaccinated

The Ministry of Health reported in the last day 20 thousand 872 new confirmed cases of COVID, for a total of 4 million 667 thousand 829.
According to the agency, infections have increased 12% in a week. It is estimated that there are 338 thousand 56 active cases (6.9%).

The entities with the highest incidence rates of active cases are Baja California Sur, Mexico City, Tabasco, Colima and Nayarit.

In the last five weeks, most cases were present in the 18- to 29-year-old groups, followed by the 30-39 age group and the 40-49 age group.
As of this Sunday, 303,183 deaths from COVID have been reported, 98 more than yesterday. To these are added 13,815 deaths classified as suspicious.
Nationally, hospital occupancy of general beds is reported at 41%, while of beds with ventilator is 25%.

According to the technical report of the Ministry of Health, this Saturday 606,953 vaccines were applied. A total of 160 million 480 thousand 629 doses have been applied.
83 million 323 thousand 226 people have received at least one vaccine: 76 million 519 thousand 923 have a complete scheme (93%) and 6 million 803 thousand 303 only with the first dose (7%).
