The Ministry of Health detected 49 thousand 150 recent cases of COVID-19, for a cumulative of 4 million 828 thousand 446 infections, since the beginning of the epidemic.
However, the agency estimates that 302,473 (5.9%) are active cases for presenting symptoms in recent days.
According to the daily technical report, the trend of cases increased 22% in the first two weeks of the year.

In addition, 495 more deaths were confirmed, so there are at least 304,803 deaths recognized by the disease.
As for vaccination, 887,385 doses were applied on January 26, for a total of 162 million 890 thousand 871.
The doses correspond to 83 million 439 thousand 107 immunized people, 89% of the adult population in Mexico; 93% have the complete scheme.
