One million 250 thousand pesos and weapons found in the Aguaruto prison, in Sinaloa

During a search in the Aguaruto prison, located in Culiacán, Sinaloa, authorities of the State Secretariat of Public Security located weapons, drugs, alcoholic beverages and more than one million 250 thousand pesos.
Sinaloa Security Secretary Cristóbal Castañeda said that, as part of the scheduled reviews that are being carried out inside the prison, a place where there were roosters was located and the land was removed, so a more exhaustive inspection was made.
“A more thorough review was carried out in one of the ratchets, which are the cells where the people deprived of their liberty are; a cavity was located where seven handguns, six long guns, more than one million 250 thousand pesos, drugs and some alcoholic beverages were located in module eight,” he said.

He pointed out that it has been insisted that the Aguaruto penitentiary scepter does not meet the necessary conditions to house people deprived of liberty who are under sentence for crimes under federal jurisdiction.

During a routine check in the Culiacán prison, a space of removed earth was located so it was inspected; 13 firearms, more than one million 250 thousand pesos and alleged drugs were secured.
