AMLO ’embodies’ the nation, say Morena senators; they will not inquire about your child

The parliamentary group of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) party in the Senate of the Republic expressed their unconditional support for President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the Fourth Transformation and the electricity reform.
At a press conference, where they presented a document signed by 58 senators, they affirmed that the president embodies the nation and condemned “the slanders, the media attack and the polarization of the opposition.”
“President Andrés Manuel López Obrador embodies the nation, the homeland and the people. Opponents of the president, therefore, seek to halt progress to give the people of Mexico a more dignified future,” they said.

As in the document of the governors of Morena, in the text presented by the legislators they attribute the attacks to economic groups that lost their privileges and oppose the electricity reform.

They assured that the president has given good results; They warned that the senators will not allow Mexico to return to the old regime and that they will be firm defenders of the interests of the Mexican people to achieve democratic change.

“From our legislative trench, we endorse the commitment to continue defending the principles of Q4, supporting initiatives in the fight against corruption, impunity and support for the people of Mexico, particularly for the most vulnerable people,” they said.

During the session, PAN senators installed a replica of the Houston residence where the president’s son lives, which generated discomfort among Morena legislators and caused a recess of the session.
When resuming the session, morena coordinator Ricardo Monreal assured that Morena does not shy away from dialogue or oppose dialogue and defended President López Obrador.
For her part, Senator Kenia López Rabadán, who presented the point of agreement, said that this government is corrupt because it occurs “from the president’s family.”
