this is how your search has been

Since February 1, the family of Pedro César Carrizales Becerra, activist and former local deputy of San Luis Potosí, known as the “Mijis”, does not know anything about him. It is already 20 days since its disappearance and uncertainty grows.
This is not the first time this has happened. In October of last year, his disappearance was also reported while on his way to a performance center in San Luis Potosí to peacefully protest against Lalo Mora, vocalist of Los Invasores de Nuevo León, for possible sexual harassment against several women.
On that occasion, according to the “Mijis”, he was kidnapped and let go with a bag on his head after singing a song by Lalo Mora, a condition that his captors put on him not to kill him. Then, he was located by the National Guard in the municipality of Zaragoza and was beaten.

Two years earlier, in February 2019, he suffered an attack in San Luis Potosí while driving in his vehicle, which was shot five times. He was unharmed.
Now, the concern of his family and friends grows in the face of the history of threats, kidnapping, torture and attacks against him. In October, he was located 15 hours after being reported missing; this time, it has been weeks without the authorities being able to find him.
In the last audio he sent to his partner on February 2, released by Millennium Television, he is heard saying: “My love, I’m already going there, thank God they have already released me. I was detained by the police, the Gafes, they thought I was one of the bad guys, but thank God I’m already going there, don’t worry, I love you.”

“I keep marking you on the road, mija, I have not been able to talk because they had me detained, what I want is to get out of here already. Thank you, I love you, I can’t talk much, mija,” he adds.

Tamaulipas Deputy Prosecutor Luis Felipe Orozco testified on Feb. 9 that there are indications that he may have been in Nuevo Laredo between Feb. 1 and Feb. 4.
With that extra data, his search was extended and the Tamaulipas prosecutor’s office joined the investigations carried out by the authorities of San Luis Potosí, Nuevo León and Coahuila.
The last time he was heard from he was in Coahuila. According to his relatives, he was going to Nuevo León. Miriam Martinez, his wife, said that at his hearing the “Mijis” was going to start a program called La Ruta del Migrante, to help local people.
According to authorities, Carrizales Becerra’s last location was at the Las Fuentes hotel in Saltillo, Coahuila; boarded a 2014 Dodge Journey vehicle in red.
“The van has a dent that spans the dashboard and driver’s side door. He carried a circulation permit issued in the municipality of San Pedro,” the search form states.
In the morning conference on February 14, from the National Palace, the communicator Frida Guerrera read a letter that the wife of the “Mijis” wrote to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, in which she asked for help to find him.
“Today is 14 days of not seeing him, of not hugging him, of not seeing his smile bloom, of not looking at his walk on the streets where the forgotten pass, of not feeling the love with which he planned to help the prisoners unjustly, of not watching him feed and shelter the migrants who survive the crossfire, if we do not listen to his voice opposing the unjust, it is 14 days of uncertainty and pain, I do not lose hope, but the truth is that every day that passes the fear grows that his life will be reduced to being part of the painful statistics of disappeared, and mine, to the thousands of incomplete families in the country”. the letter said.

This is my cause and my ideal; I will always fight for equality; He will defend those I represent as if he were defending the family that shares my blood. It doesn’t matter who is in front of you. “El Mijis” @mijisoficial @VocesDLAusenciahttps://t.co/We6tls1NF8 pic.twitter.com/vTa4dG3v34

In response, the president promised to inform Carrizales Becerra’s wife about the progress of the investigation.
On the day he was last seen, the 42-year-old “Mijis” was wearing a sky-blue long-sleeved shirt, navy blue jacket, dark blue jeans, as well as brown boots and a black bracelet with three quartz.
The State Search Commission also detailed the particular signs of the former deputy, such as his tattoos on his chest and left forearm, scars, the bulging mole on the right side of the nose, as well as his usual padlock beard.
Career
In 2018, after being nominated by the coalition Together We Will Make History (Morena, Social Encounter Party and Partido dEl Trabajo), won the local deputation in San Luis Potosí with more than 24 thousand votes, almost 33% of the vote.
His political discourse focused on combating poverty, exclusion, racism, violence and discrimination. Before approaching politics, the “Mijis” organized young people to combat the criminalization of authorities and police against them.
In fact, his campaign was aimed at young people in the popular neighborhoods of San Luis Potosí.
During his work as a legislator, he supported the legalization of abortion, marriage equality, and initiatives against animal abuse, bullfighting, and cockfighting.

To date, she works in support of groups of missing persons and is a member of the Popular Youth Movement, which promotes social programs and employment activities for gang youth and to combat discrimination. He also created the organization Un Grito de Existencia, whose purpose is to make visible the “chavos banda”.
According to the organization, Carrizales Becerra has participated in peace truces between gangs that have been rivals for years, in order to reduce violence and crime.
In March 2015, the “Mijis” and five other comrades traveled thousands of kilometers by bicycle to deliver to the state and federal congresses a list of petitions to better integrate excluded young people in the country.
The former deputy has been questioned for his way of dressing, his tattoos, being from the neighborhood and having been in prison. For him, these criticisms are fueled by the classism and discrimination of many in Mexico.
In 2020, he announced that he suffered from cancer, although he had already been sick for a year and wrote on his social networks: “I swear that I am going to free her and I will chambear until my last gram of life; I never leave half-hearted struggles.”

On his Twitter account, every day the days he has been missing, the request for help to find him, photos and videos are disseminated. His search card is also fixed and one of the most shared messages says: “If it were any of us who were in his place, I would have already turned the world upside down to shake it and find us. We ask you not to leave him alone, to be present in your prayers and to help spread.”
“No one should live the pain of death or the uncertainty of a disappearance. Please help us find it; any information shall be confidential.”
