Amazon Prime Video announced that on April 15 it will premiere the series “Outer Range”. As reported, the first season will have eight episodes that will be released weekly. The story follows Royal Abbott (Josh Brolin), a rancher fighting for his land and his family, who uncovers an incomprehensible mystery on the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness. Being an exciting family western saga with tinges of ironic humor and supernatural mystery, Outer Range examines how we deal with the unknown. At the beginning of the series, the Abbotts are overcoming the disappearance of their daughter-in-law Rebecca. They are pushed to the limit when the Tillersons (the owners of the neighboring ranch, who seek profit only) attempt to seize their land.
An unexpected death in the community triggers a chain reaction of tense events and the seemingly small problems of a people and their land, come to a head with the arrival of a mysterious black void in the countryside, west in the land of the Abbotts.As Royal struggles to protect his family uncontrolled revelations develop and through his eyes, we begin to see how time hides secrets of the past and portends disturbing mysteries. In addition to Brolin, the cast includes Imogen Poots, Lili Taylor, Tamara Podemski, Lewis Pullman, Tom Pelphrey, Noah Reid, Shaun Sipos, Isabel Arraiza, Olive Abercrombie and Will Patton.
