Truck found with seven charred bodies in Celaya, Guanajuato

A van with seven charred bodies was located in the community of San José el Nuevo, in Celaya, the Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office said.
The municipal Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) said that it received the report on Tuesday night and elements of the Municipal Police and the Fire Department went to the place to control the fire.
He indicated that the Ford F-150 truck had Michoacan license plates and had a report of theft in that state, according to Reforma.

The prosecutor’s office detailed, in its regional report, that criminal experts from the homicide unit went to the place where they processed the scene and collected evidence to clarify the fact.
He reported that the bodies were transferred to the facilities of the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo), where studies are carried out to establish the causes of death and identify them.
In February, Guanajuato ranked as the second state with the most intentional homicides in the country, according to the most recent report by the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP).

Last month, 231 murders were recorded in the state.
