The body found does correspond to Debanhi, confirms NL prosecutor’s office

The Attorney General’s Office of Nuevo León confirmed Friday that the body found Thursday night does correspond to the young Debanhi Escobar, 18, who had been missing for almost two weeks.
In a video message, prosecutor Gustavo Adolfo Guerrero said the young woman died from a severe blow to the head.
“The scientific tests carried out allow us to communicate that the body found is Debanhi Susana, being the cause of death the deep contusion of the skull,” said the official.

“At this time, no line of investigation in this case is ruled out,” he added.

According to the prosecutor, the institution in charge will use “all resources” to clarify what happened to Debanhi.

The body was located Thursday night inside a cistern. Mario Escobar, the girl’s father, complains to authorities that he was found in an area that had already been checked.
